| Kathie Topel’s workshop was titled Building the IT Leader: From the Backroom to the Boardroom. It was very well received by the audience and Kathie received a 4.5 rating out of 5.0 for her speaker delivery.
The session covered the concept that we hear things like differentiation, business value, sustainable innovation, maximized impact and strategy execution all the time. But, if IT leaders are going to be a true peer to their executive counterparts and assume “Game Changer” status within their company, they will need to ensure that their team is engaged in the business and not just the technology.
Kathie shared concrete techniques the audience could implement immediately following the presentation—approaches that have tangible application at work and life in general and demonstrate how everyone can exhibit leadership skills—not only in their daily job, but also in day-to-day life, with family, friends and in the greater community.
A few of the comments from attendees on the session included;
- Kathie was a great and engaging speaker.
- Kathie did a great job interacting with the audience
- Great ideas about processes around IT Leadership
- Great topical materials.
- Very good session. Excellent content.
